DBS SURGERY DONE.

Well went to Newcastle last Monday, Stayed in a hotel with Peter before heading off to the hospital for 8am. I was first on the list so no hanging about. Peter left just before 9 as I was being taken through. Next thing I remember its after 2 and feeling very groggy. The doctor did his round the next morning at 8 and was told I could go home. Phoned Peter and I was out and on my way home by 11. Now almost a week later It's just starting to dawn on me I've just had Brain surgery, apart from the three impressive scares on my head and one on my chest you would never know. Unfortunately since the op my tremor has got worse, which I was not expecting, but its still early days they say and I have to be switched on before they can tell me more. But still Its a bit disappointing I'm going to wait another week before we head back down to Newcastle so will update you all then. But a hugh thank you to all my friends and family for the most beautiful cards, flowers and gifts as well as all the well wishes from everyone
