Today I have started to write a Blog about my Journey with Parkinson's.
It was four years ago that I was finally diagnosed, after years of trips to the GP and local hospital for numerous tests for a variety of ailments.
I had Iritis , a painful condition of the eye.
I had diverticulitis, another painful condition, this time of the stomach.
Two frozen shoulders, about 3 years apart.
Sleeping problems
Nightmares.
Tremors.
Anxiety. etc. etc.
Eventually my GP sent me to visit a neurologist, Not because he thought I had Parkinson's, but just to convince me that I didn't, and hopefully they would have something stronger than the prescribed Beta Blockers I was taking for the tremors.
As you have guessed, I was with the specialist 20 mins.. when he diagnosed me. But I still had to have various tests done to rule out anything more sinister that was causing my Parkinson's.
So there my Journey began....
